Artcore is pleased to invite you to Disruptive Impressions, a printmaking exhibition at Artcore Gallery on Friday, November 29th from 5 pm to 7 pm.
The exhibition will feature works by Artcore’s artists-in-residence, Bernie Rutter, Taiba Akhtar alongside their mentor, Chris Barker (co-founder of The Smallprint Company).
The exhibition presents an exploration of printmaking, taking it beyond two-dimensional form to embrace sculptural elements. The artists, guided by their mentor, have experimented with letterpress technology and paper construction, creating works that play with altered, pierced, and constructed forms. Together, they respond to themes of displacement and disruption, layering meaning and materials to highlight journeys of language and fragmentation.
