Empowerment for Employment Celebration

We invite you to celebrate the end of our ‘Empowerment for Employment’ programme on Monday 15^th April!

Come and join us as we reflect on our journey, celebrate achievements, and showcase the highlights and artworks made by our participants throughout the programme. There will even be a special workshop led by one of our professional artists and delicious food to share.

About the project:

The Empowerment for Employment project has been delivered in a partnership between Artcore, The Derby Bosnia Herzegovina Community Association and Baby People. The workshops were designed to support individuals in developing employability skills, gaining confidence, and acquiring life skills.

At Artcore participants learnt craft-making skills, gained knowledge of branding, packaging, and selling their work, and explored steps to establish small businesses. Led by professional artists, the workshops aimed to teach new skills, build confidence, and foster a supportive network among participants. The outcomes created by participants were successfully displayed and sold at Artcore’s Craft-Fair. The project utilised art as a catalyst for developing valuable life skills and empowered participants by enhancing their employability skills. Their commitment to empowering learners and facilitating integration and employment paths was demonstrated through successful session deliveries, participant engagement, and individual support efforts.
