‘375 Squares for Peace’ exhibition proudly celebrated Peace Day with a heartfelt event, unveiling the blankets from our twin city, Osnabruck, Germany. This year marks the 375th anniversary of the historic peace treaty that ended the ’30 Year War,’ signed in Osnabruck’s town hall.

The initiative was led by ambassadors from our partner city, who created six unique blankets composed of textile squares contributed by people worldwide, including members of Artcore and our local Derby communities. Originally displayed at the Derby Council House, these meaningful peace blankets are now showcased in our upstairs gallery, inviting visitors to reflect on the importance of peace and collaboration across borders.
