Building Bridges 2026: Chapter Two | Artist Residency in Derby
29 June – 12 July 2026
Artcore is delighted to announce the second chapter of Building Bridges 2026, an international artist residency celebrating 50 years of the Derby–Osnabrück twinning.
Following the successful first phase of the exchange in Osnabrück earlier this year, Artcore now welcomes four artists from Germany: Emily Witte, Jasper Tiemeyer, Melanie Harder, and Inga Waldvogel- to Derby for a two-week residency from 29 June to 12 July 2026.
During their stay, the artists will work from Artcore, reconnect with the four Derby artists who participated in the residency in Osnabrück, and continue the conversations and collaborations initiated during the first chapter of the programme. Alongside studio practice, the residency includes networking opportunities, visits to cultural institutions and artist studios, and explorations of Derby and the surrounding region, offering the visiting artists a deeper understanding of the city’s cultural landscape.
The residency will culminate in a group exhibition bringing together the individual practices of all eight participating artists.
