We are thrilled to announce the return of SwitchOFF, our popular cultural event, for its Spring edition. Join us for an evening of relaxation, where you can escape the stresses of daily life and enjoy the company of others. In addition to a wonderful lineup of music by our very own Phoebe Shaw, we will also serve delectable in-house snacks and other beverages at the Artcore Cafe for everyone to enjoy.
As part of our commitment to fostering a creative community, we invite our guests to share their talents with us. Whether it’s reciting poetry, playing an instrument, singing a song, or showcasing any other skill, we encourage you to take the stage and express yourself. SwitchOFF is the perfect opportunity to zone out and relax, away from your phones and screens, and simply enjoy the moment.
We are also excited to announce an art competition, where participants are invited to decorate, make, or craft a crown, in anticipation of the coronation. Simply bring your crown into Artcore Community Hub (3 Charnwood Street, DE1 2GT) or send us a photo on any of our social media pages or email it to coordinator@artcoreuk.com.
In addition, we are hosting a Big (late) Lunch at 3:30 pm, a perfect opportunity to gather with friends and family and share some delicious food.
We look forward to seeing your creations and celebrating with you at the SwitchOFF and the Big (late) Lunch. So mark your calendars and join us for an unforgettable day on 5 May 2023.
When and where will this event take place?
The Big (late) Lunch will take place on 5 May from 3.30 pm till 5.30 pm followed by the SwitchOFF from 5.30 pm till 6.30 pm at Artcore Gallery, 8 Albert Street, Osnabruck Square, DE12DS.
Attendance to the Big (late) Lunch and SwitchOFF is free of charge, however, as a charity, we gratefully accept donations. Donations can be made on the day of the event or through our website at https://artcoreuk.com/support-us/. As the Big (late) Lunch is a luncheon event, kindly inform us in advance of any dietary requirements or allergies you may have. Artcore Cafe offers a vegetarian and vegan menu exclusively.
Are there facilities for parking?
Due to our venue’s central location near pedestrianised areas, there is no on-site parking available. However, if you plan on arriving by car, we recommend parking at DERBION, which is only a 2-minute walk from the gallery on Albert street.
