About this exhibition:

We are delighted to announce our upcoming exhibition ‘Holi Hai!’, featuring artworks by Masood Sarwer, Nikki Culley, Huw Davies, and Phil Basi, which marks the culmination of Artcore’s international residency opportunity in India earlier this year.

The residency aimed to foster creative collaboration and exchange among lens-based and related media artists from the UK and India. During the two-week residency, held in the picturesque district of Chhotaudepur, Gujarat, the artists had the unique opportunity to document the spring festival of Holi, study disappearing tribal culture, visit UNESCO World Heritage sites, and explore local fairs and markets among other experiences.

The exhibition ‘Holi Hai!’ promises to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of the artists’ impressions and experiences of India, as they interpret the rich cultural tapestry of the region. We invite you to join us for the grand opening of our newly-refurbished gallery space on 16 May 2023, where the exhibition will be on display.

When and where will the exhibition take place?

‘Holi Hai!’ will launch on 16 May from 6.00pm onwards. The exhibition is set to take place from 17 May to 3 June at Artcore Gallery, 8 Albert Street, Osnabruck Square, DE12DS.

Tel: 01332 366 623

Opening hours for this exhibition: Tuesday – Saturday 12:00 am – 5:00 pm

Who can attend the exhibition? Is it a paid or free event?

This is a free event, open to all. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Are there facilities for parking?

Due to our venue’s central location near pedestrianised areas, there is no on-site parking available. However, if you plan on arriving by car, we recommend parking at DERBION, which is only a 2-minute walk from the Albert street entrance.
