Since it was founded in 1987, the Felix-Nussbaum-Gesellschaft Osnabrück has been committed to the legacy of the artist Felix Nussbaum: “If I perish, don’t let my paintings die.”
They initiate and organise projects and events with the aim of familiarising the public with Nussbaum’s paintings and the unique collection of the Felix-Nussbaum-Haus Osnabrück. This exhibiton at Artcore Gallery is one itteration of the wider project; the international touring exhibition ‘On the move with Felix Nussbaum’ Through this project the Felix-Nussbaum-Haus has sent 20 reproductions of Nussbaum’s most important works on a journey and presented them in other European countries – The exhibition will strengthen connections between Derby and Osnabrück as Twin Cities, and offer an opportunity to reflect on the importance of art during war and crisis.
