The Art of Healing – Community

Experience the transformative Art of Healing Community workshops guided by Martin D Hyde, a contemporary artist situated in Wirksworth, nestled in the Peak District of the UK. Martin specialises in creating expressive abstract paintings, predominantly using acrylic on canvas. His artworks serve as reflections of his journey living with depression, his relationships, and his perspective on his role in the world. 

In these engaging sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in drawing activities, craft figurines, and make sock puppets representing significant individuals in the local community, such as friends, shopkeepers, caregivers, and religious leaders of their choosing. These workshops provide a platform for people to unite, offering a space for reflection and a sense of community strength. At Artcore, we highly value unity and the establishment of connections. The workshops are designed for individuals aged 19 and above, and are suitable for complete beginners.
