Express Yourself is a weekly after-school project for young people aged 8-15. Through these sessions led by professional artists, we support confidence-building, collaboration and expression by providing fun outlets for young people to showcase their ideas. Through Express Yourself we offer the opportunity for participants to collaborate with both artists and each other using a variety of art mediums.
This term, we are working with artist and set-designer Connie Burley through special sessions on Zoom. We are collaborating on a piece of work symbolising a shared experience such as a game played at school or a common pastime. Using mark-making and painting, young people will develop this over six weeks and submit their collection of work for the group piece.
