Have you ever wanted to learn to throw a pot on a potter’s wheel? Have you enjoyed a Have a Throw taster session with us?

This 5 week course is designed for beginners and will guide you step by step to learn this fascinating skill. You will learn to centre and cone your clay, throw basic bowl and cylinder shapes, and then “turn” them to refine the shape and add footrings and decorative markings. Time permitted, you can glaze your work towards the end of the course, but to make the most of your available time on the wheel we recommend that you book an additional glazing session at the studio.
