Diwali Celebration

We would like to invite you to join us for the Diwali celebrations on Friday 10th Nov at The Derby City Lab from 3pm to 5pm.

It would be great if you are able to join us for this event.

This event coincides with our Cultural Threads project, which is an immersive and sensory experience of Derby’s cultural diversity, using a fusion of colours, fabric and print, creating artwork from different cultures.
The threads within these creative interventions are symbolic and represent the communities of our city, focusing on how they are interwoven through ‘place’ but also sharing certain commonalities within their cultures.
There have been a series of community workshops held at the City Lab between 1st Nov to 9th Nov and engaging members of Derby’s diverse community, working collaboratively to create colourful artworks.
